Holiday Product Essentials

I am going to be going on my first holiday abroad in just over a week, and so naturally I’ve already started to pack! I wanted to be sure that I had everything ready and waiting with plenty of time to spare, so that I could grab anything extra that I had missed. I’ve been pretty thorough and even researched everything that I should take, just in case I’d forgotten something, which with me, is more than likely the case. Anyway, I wanted to share my list of holiday essentials to help out anybody else in the same situation. All of the prices, products, and where I bought them from will be linked at the end of the post.

Suncream

I’m going to Kos in Greece and so it is going to be really hot so the first thing on my list is sun cream. I’m a natural redhead and have very fair skin, so I ordered Ambre Solaire Ultra-hydrating Sun Cream SPF50+, which is designed for really fair skin. On the same subject, I also bought Hawaiian Tropic Lip Balm SPF 45+ in tropical flavour. I also bought a Malibu Face Cream SPF 50, and then lastly I bought an Aloe Vera Soothing After Sun Gel just in case.

Bug Repellant

I have been told from people that have visited Greece that they were bitten by multiple insects and so I picked up Xpel mosquito and insect repellant spray pens in the tropical scent so it doesn’t smell terrible and still repells insects. It also claims to be long lasting, and I’m usually prone to getting bitten by random insects, so hopefully this works well.

Toiletries

I didn’t particularly want to take full sized bottles of shampoo and conditioner because I’m only going to be there for a week, so I bought Simple Kind To Hair Gentle Care Shampoo and conditioner. They were in relatively small 200ml bottles and I know I’ll use up the rest when I come back because I love Simple products but have yet to try their hair care. I’m also taking Natural Extracts Argon Oil Cleansing and Moisturising Shower Gel because it’s really good at hydrating my skin and smells amazing on my skin. It even has the bonus of being in a small travel sized bottle (75ml).

Other Necessities

On the topic of the brand Simple, I’m going to be taking my Simple Kind To Skin Replenishing Rich Moisturiser as it’s one of my favourites and I know i’ll get use out of it because the hot weather dries out my face. I bought a small tube of my regular Colgate toothpaste and Dove Invisible Dry roll on deodorant as other necessities. I will also be taking a disposable razor, some hair bobbles and exfoliating gloves.

Scents

I bought a perfume atomiser because I don’t want to risk taking full bottles of expensive perfume in case I either loose them or they get broken or leak during travel. This means that I can take my Paco Rabanne Lady Million perfume for in the evenings or on nights out. I also bought a small Primark Berry Bliss spritz perfume for quick touch ups during the day.

Medical

I have put together a small bag of things I might need when abroad that I’d rather bring from home. This includes, Paracetamol, hay-fever tablets, plasters, sanitary towels and my contraceptive pill.
